The Westport Cultural Council awards grants to support programs in the arts, humanities, and interpretive science with funding from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the Helen E. Ellis Charitable Trust. The Council works to foster quality cultural programs and activities that bring the community together to create, share, and inspire.
The Council is an all-volunteer board, charted to have a 9-members and is tasked with awarding and administering grant programs that supports local arts, science and history, funds school field trips, and sponsors local concerts and exhibitions.
Council board-members serve a 3-year term.

The Council meets the first Wednesday of every month at the Town Hall Annex at 6:00 pm.
